The trial proposal is a response to residents who are concerned about high volumes of southbound traffic on Cowderoy Street in the late afternoon on weekdays. Daily traffic volumes in Cowderoy Street have surged by 80% from 1,235 vehicles in 2014 to 3,092 in 2021. Your feedback will assist with the decision of whether to proceed with a twelve-month trial to install a No Right-Turn (4:30PM-6:30PM Mon-Fri) from Canterbury Road into Cowderoy Street, St Kilda West. The trial will evaluate the redistribution of traffic to existing arterial roads and local roads in the area.Council has distributed fliers to properties from Fitzroy Street, St Kilda to McGregor St, Middle Park bounded by Beaconsfield Parade and properties neighbouring Canterbury Road.
